In Praise of Walnuts

A walnut is a little powerhouse of health giving minerals. Calcium, magnesium, zinc, chromium, iron, phosphorus,potassium,selenium, vanadium,and many more trace minerals.




Rich in omega oils, the rarer omega 3 fatty acids help regulate hormones, keeps skin healthy, and protect the heart.


Walnuts contain rare and valuable antioxydents not found in commonly eaten foods. These oils and anti inflammatory antioxydents may explain the decrease in certain cancers, including prostate and breast cancer in relationship to walnut consumption.


Walnuts increase their health giving properties if soaked for a day or two , as this both softens the nut, making it more digestible, and also starts the production of beneficial enzymes within the kernel.
