I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis when my children were small. I decided way back then that I would not let this condition rule my life and searched for alternative ways to deal with the condition. I have managed to overcome it by simply modifying my diet and lifestyle, even though I was told by my Rheumatologist that I would never be able to do it, I am living proof that it is possible!  I questioned the norm and encourage everyone to question their own health options. This is why I run the Natural Life Shop and enjoy doing what I do.

The Natural Life Shop has always been a big part of my life, from doing the weekly shop here, way back when I was a child, to now, managing the day to day running of the store alongside Angie. My parents have always wanted me and my younger brother to have the best and natural upbringing as possible, so having The Natural Life Shop in the same village helped make that possible! I learn something new every day and have the chance to help and make a positive difference to people’s lives, the best thing about our shop are the customers!

I started at the shop when I began to retrain as a Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist. Similarly to Angie, I came to the health arena due to my own health issues! It was what prompted me to retrain and I absolutely love seeing the difference our advice and support can make to the health and wellbeing of our customers.

It never ceases to amaze me how the most seemingly trivial changes can reap the most incredible benefits. I also love how collaborative the gang are here! We're always bouncing ideas for customers off each other and everyone has such a different perspective that we always manage to find a way to help no matter how complex the issues!

I currently offer vitamin D testing in the shop to help keep our little community as healthy as possible in light of the current pandemic!

If you would like to book in for a free discovery call to see if nutritional therapy can help you, please take a Hedgerow Health card from the counter for my details or visit to get in touch!

My name is Amanda and I have worked here at The Natural Life shop for over 17 years now. I made friends with Angie when my family moved into the village in 1986 and it was not too long after that I joined the team.

What I love about the place is its friendly and welcoming feeling, the shelves are stacked full of yummy foods and as a member of the team, we get to quality test all new products!

Angie supports all her team members in their personal development and endeavours. She facilitates us to do a lot of training with the supplement companies so that we can all be of help to our customers. I was blessed to go up to Findhorn in Scotland and take the level one training for Findhorn flower essences, I find them extremely useful for myself and my clients. They are a gentle and effective way to help bring the mind, body and spirit back into balance when things just do not feel right.

My work at the shop beautifully compliments my own practice as a Holistic Massage Therapist specialising in Abdominal therapy ( that is a massage for the digestive and reproductive organs).

Many of my clients have digestive concerns and it is my job to help them get their organs working optimally again, after all, you can have the best diet in the world but you will not get all the benefits if your digestive organs are not working properly.

I not only treat clients with the usual back and shoulder tension and aches but also offer specialist treatments for conditions such as IBS, leaky gut, chronic constipation alongside reproductive concerns like painful periods, challenging menopausal symptoms, fertility challenges, bladder issues in both men and women and prostate challenges.

Having been part of Natural Life since the very beginning I cannot imagine ever being anywhere else. It is really interesting, I’ve gained so much knowledge along the way, and I just never stop learning or questioning things. It really opens your mind. I love the way our shop changes people’s lives for the better. The customers are great and it’s a happy place to be.

I started working at the shop in October 2019. I've been brought up vegan and it's great to work in such an open minded, ethical and progressive place! I love getting to see new products as they come in to the store and it's great working with such a variety of customers!
